"Alone" is the first single and video from Slick Shoes' brand new self-titled album! Fresh off successful tour in 2001 with MxPx and Good Charlotte, Slick Shoes returns with an exemplary punk rock album that promises to be their most successful release to date!

Featuring a side of the band we've never seen before, "Slick Shoes" includes twelve songs, some of which are "slower than anything we've ever recorded before," drummer Joe Nixon says. "We wanted to give some of the songs room to breathe."

He realizes this will be startling for some of the listeners, "because any time you slow down at all the kids could be all over you...change is a really scary thing for bands...but we've done a lot of these songs live and the kids loved them." He adds, "We have really rad fans. They are so loyal."

Slick Shoes will be touring throughout the spring and summer of 2002 and "Alone" will also be sent to commercial specialty and college radio. A full promotional and publicity push will accompany the album's release, including magazine, television and internet.
