It is no secret Philadelphia’s own mewithoutYou have been perpetually gaining popularity since the release of their sophomore album, “Catch For Us the Foxes” last October. Suddenly the group that seemed to some as a diamond in the rough have begun receiving widespread mainstream adoration (amid comparisons to a “young REM”) and joining some of the largest tours of the year, including their current national run with Coheed & Cambria, The Blood Brothers and Dredg.

Now mewithoutYou are being featured on MTV’s Advance Warning for the month of October. The show, which will air six times on both the MTV and MTV2 networks, gives viewers a look inside the careers of artists on the verge of breaking big. Previous featured bands include Arcade Fire, Kanye West and Franz Ferdinand. The spot will feature footage of mewithoutYou on the road including live performance snippets, an interview with the band, and the unveiling of mewithoutYou’s video for their current single, “Paper Hanger” directed by Lex Halaby (Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, Atmosphere).

Air dates are as follows:
MTV
Sunday, 10/23 at 11:00pm
Tuesday, 10/25 at 8:30am
Thursday, 10/27 at 10:00am

MTV2
Wednesday, 10/26 at 10:00am
Saturday, 10/29 at 7:30am
Sunday, 10/30 at 2:00am

Compounding the MTV love, votes continue to pour in for mtvU’s Second-Annual Woodie Awards in which mewithoutYou have been nominated in two categories, “The Left Field Woodie” (alongside such critically acclaimed acts as Arcade Fire and MIA) and “Streaming Woodie.” Broadcasting to over 730 colleges across the country, with a combined enrollment of 6.5 million, mtvU is the largest, most comprehensive television network just for college students. Winners will be announced at this year’s ceremony November 2nd at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City. To make your vote count, go here
