Eager Seas

When you’ve been writing and performing music since the age of 13, there’s bound to be a maturation of sorts, a coming of age to the musical progression you were always meant to perform. For Seth Roberts, that project is Watashi Wa. Having already accomplished three releases with this pop-rock outfit, Roberts, now 22, has channelled his writing ambitions to the compellingly sincere "Eager Seas." With the same lucid, unmistakably pure vocals that captivated fans of Watashi Wa's earlier releases, Roberts, teamed with a talented new cast, creates pristine pop melodies without sounding trite or naïve; instead each alluring track resonates positive notions and an inherent natural grace that simply can’t be taught. Watashi Wa's "Eager Seas" finally is in stores and online everywhere now and will leave you feeling challenged, thoughtful, and only wanting more.

Quick Bio

Watashi Wa doesn't want to confuse anyone; they just want to do what it is they do, and do it well. "We're a pop-rock band, pretty straightforward, but I think we're doing things differently. I think our songs have melodies that stick in your head, but still hold maturity." Having drawn comparisons to bands doing just that, such as Superdrag, Green Day, and the Goo Goo Dolls, Watashi Wa's lyrical and melodic maturity sets them miles ahead of a rock market currently flooded with endless generic and underdeveloped bands spiraling towards obscurity. Memorable melodies accompanied by perfect pop simplicity fill their Tooth and Nail debut, "The Love of Life," and make clear that Watashi Wa is unmistakably a rock 'n roll band of substance and personality.
